I chose the subject matter for
this painting because of the way light, ambient and direct, would play
on the whites. The café is actually my front verandah! My wife Diane
offered to be the waitress and our next door neighbour and her daughter
played the roll of patrons. The afternoon light caught my attention
one day and the next day I set it up and waited for the light to return.
