While strolling along a path in
the well-structured garden of Tintinhull in Somerset, England, I observed
this gardener deftly tending to his flowers. The early morning light
united him to the garden in such a way that it was impossible for me
to leave him out of the composition. He had become an integral part
of the beauty and thus the focal point of my painting.
