The Hestercombe Estate is one of my favourites.
Here, nature is slowly reclaiming for herself the once formal garden,
while the multi-level stone steps and columns offer an intriguing
architectural human element. The below ground perspective combined
with the warm dappled light creates an inviting alcove in the cool
shadows.
